This is to advise about an exciting new collaboration between one of Norfolk’s prestigious new company’s, The English Whisky Co. at St. George’s Distillery, and Lakenham Creamery Ltd specialist ice cream producer that has been established in Norwich since 1921.
Chris Coughlan ( on the left in the above photo) was displaying Lakenham Creamery’s Gold award winning Norfolk County ice creams at Bakers & Larners in Holt during the summer when he spotted the Norfolk NOG on The English Whisky Co. stand. “ I had already been thinking about a new ice cream for the Christmas season and one taste of the Norfolk NOG was enough to convince me this was the direction we needed to go in”, said Chris.
A few emails and phone calls with Andrew Nelstrop, Managing Director of The English Whisky Co., got everything under way and the new Norfolk NOG ice cream was launched at the end of November just in time for the Christmas and New Year festivities.
“ The ice cream is spot on reflecting the creaminess and smooth texture of our Norfolk NOG made with our English Single Malt Whisky”, said Katy Nelstrop, seen above holding two bottles of Norfolk NOG in their distinctive blue bottles.
